Intune Music School.. our humble little music school has been around for only around 1 year plus, but has achieved so much that we are pleasantly surprised ourselves sometimes too. Since 2007, our school has expanded our premises to a lovely shophouse space in Prinsep Place, and has also begun to offer new courses like guitar sing and play as well as pop violin! We have also just gone on our 1st carolling session, as well as our 1st Christmas potluck dinner in 2008! ;-p
The past year has not been an easy year for our school, and it has been tiring for myself and my business partner. But, whenever we look at our students and our Intune Family and see how much fun and love they share amongst themselves, it never fails to brighten up our day and give us the strength to keep persevering on this musical journey.
For the new year, my wish for our humble little school will be to continue to be sincere and loving to all our students, and to never become cold, commercial, unfeeling or mercenary. Many of our students are already our friends, and we regularly on outings and even go overseas together! This is how a business should be run.. with a big HEART!
Lastly, Intune Music School would like to wish one and all a very successful and happy new year in 2009, and hope that we all pursue our interests and transform them into the INSPIRATION that powers our lives! ;-p

Settling down at Prinsep Place..
Monday, December 1, 2008It's been 4 months since Intune Music School shifted to Prinsep Place, and so far it has been a wonderful experience! All our students love the new school premises, as well as the location of our school, cos Prinsep Place has a lovely rustic feel amidst the city buildings, and it just feels like we are in a totally different world from the outside hustle and bustle.
The school has been growing from strength to strength, and we are currently amidst preparations for carolling along Orchard Road! You might just see us carolling if you were to visit Starbucks outlets these coming weekends, cos we will be there singing our hearts out.. hopefully with free drinks from Starbucks too! We decided to do carolling this year because we wanted to spread some christmas cheer to people around us, as well as to our own school students, and teach them some wonderful christmas songs too.
So, do keep yourselves updated about our latest school happenings at our school website (http://www.intunemusic.com.sg) or join our facebook group (Intune Music). We are always constantly updating our videos too on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/user/intunemusicschool) to hope u can go check those out too!
Alright, till the next update.. have fun, enjoy singing and music, and merry christmas to one and all!

Launch of the NEW and UPGRADED Intune!
Monday, September 1, 2008Dear all friends and supporters of Intune Music School, I am glad to announce that our school has shifted to a BIGGER and BETTER location at Prinsep Place, Selegie! We are currently located at 50A, Prinsep Place, #02-01, Prinsep Street, which is the 2nd floor of one of the shophouse units in Prinsep Place.
Our new premises are much bigger and also more 'homely' for everyone, with many of our students giving us feedback that they love to hang around the school so much! In fact, after lessons, many of our students stay behind and chat with the other students in the school! It has been an exciting and busy week for us here at Intune, with our preparations for shifting our school, as well as our concert rehearsals for our double bill performance on Sep 1, with "Living with Zuo En and Xueting" as well as "Living with Aaron Lim" being performed at The Arts House on that monday night!
Sep 1 marks the birth of our new school, as well as the beginning of a new era for our school and our students, as we step out towards the world with greater performance exposure and more activities for one and all!
Do stay tuned for latest updates as well as photos and videos of our latest performances, so that you do not miss out on our recent developments! ;-p

Performance @ The Arts House on 3 March 2008!
Saturday, March 8, 2008Intune Music School visited The Arts House on 3 March 2008, as part of the event "Living With Chi Sheng", and performed many songs together with the star for the night, Chi Sheng! There were also many local artistes performing, including Wallace Ang from Red Planet Group, Lin Sitong from M5, as well as Star Search 2007 Finalist Jeneen Goh!
Our student performers Zuo En, Si Ming and Xueting also did renditions of local artiste Xazz's songs, including 味道 and 谁在黑夜拥抱我, as well as Nicola Ho's song, 美丽的邂逅。It was an interesting experience for all performers, to be singing at such an artistic venue that is usually more known for instrumental or classical music! Certainly a refreshing change!
We look forward towards more such performances in the future, and hopefully those who support Intune Music School will continue to support us everywhere we go! For those who missed the performance, you can always go to youtube.com to view our performance videos there! ;-p

Intune Music School's New Year Resolution..
Saturday, January 19, 2008The new year is here! Year 2008.. seems like a lucky year for Intune Music School, considering the number of performances and gigs that we have been attracting so far!
Things are finally getting underway, with our performing group getting regular performance opportunities, and our students growing by the day (mostly due to word of mouth, owing it to our students' hard work as well as me and qisheng's wonderful friends and contacts.. haha..)! It is certainly a joy to see all our students and performers growing in experience as well as skill, and we hope to be able to organise more concerts for them this year too!
This is also the year for various music projects by Intune's preferred partners, namely Creatune Music Publishing as well as The Red Planet Group, which recently launched a new album by Xazz, a new local artiste! Another artiste is on the way with his solo album, and it feels like an ultra-exciting and fun year for our little music school, with our partner companies doing well too!
Coming back to the topic of this post, my new year's resolution for Intune Music School is for everyone to be able to further their aspirations in music, and to be able to upgrade their musical knowledge and skills, as well as for our little school to be able to reach out to more people and share with them our love and joy for music!
That to me, is more than enough reward... so let me ask you one question...
"Are You In Tune?" ;-p

Performance at MuChuan Cafe on 22 Dec 2007!
Sunday, December 23, 2007Tonight, InTune Music School hosted its very first public performance at MuChuan Cafe (SAFRA Town Club, Carpenter St). It was a sellout full house event, and the cafe was so packed that there was barely space to move!
The entire performance was 3 hours long, and there were around 30 songs for the entire night! I was really impressed with all our students, especially with our close knit group of performers (Zuo En, Xueting, Klenn, Makoto, Simin, Maveric, Shuzhen etc etc), who were able to string together all their songs and perform throughout the night non-stop! They also managed a number of duets, as well as harmony parts for the christmas carolling!
I was only onstage to sing for the last segment of the night, but it was really wonderful to see our group of students with their various talents; some being great singers, others being able to harmonise well, still others taking up roles as emcees or even stage managers and sound man! This is something that really impressed me.. how our entire school of students rallied together to organise this performance and do such an impressive job!
Me and Qisheng laoshi are really proud, and we will certainly work very very hard to make the next performance an even bigger and more prestigious event! Our students will be proud to be from InTune Music School, and our teachers will be proud of what our students achieve!

Future Growth of InTune Music School
Tuesday, December 4, 2007Today we had a long meeting regarding the future growth of our little music school. Over the past few months, response has been great from many of our friends and supporters, and also from various members of the public who have come in through word of mouth.
We appreciate everyone's help in building up our little music school, which has already achieved a certain stronghold of students, as well as developed a strong core group of performers. This would not have been possible without the help of our friends, families, as well as students alike.
Today was an important day because it marked a new phase in our music school's growth. It marked the beginning of our marketing plan, as well as the actual planned expansion of our little music school. Hopefully our little music school will no longer be little, but will be ready for the big boys by the end of next year!
So, everyone, just watch out for future developments, and remember this little catchphrase from us: "Are You In Tune?" ;-p

Carolling at Heeren today, 28 Nov 07!
Wednesday, November 28, 2007Today was a great day because the InTune Student Performers were at Heeren, on the stage outside HMV, singing Christmas carols for a TV programme called "Chuang4 ye4 Wu2 Di2 Shou3"! Local actress Chen Liping, Chen Diya and Carrie from Superstar, as well as Huixian from Campus Superstar were present too for this filming!
Overall, it was an enriching experience for our students, as they had lots of fun participating in the filming with the stars, as well as soaking in the Christmas spirit at Heeren! Incidentally, it was raining cats and dogs outside, and the students were slightly drenched, but this did not dampen their spirits at all!
I am certainly extremely proud of all my student performers for being so resilient and professional in their behaviour, and not complaining at all about being caught in the rain, or even for having waited almost an hour for the rain to stop! Kudos to all my students!
Hope to have more of these opportunities for everyone in the future! Do catch them on TV on Dec 18 during the "Chuang4 Ye4 Wu2 Di2 Shou3" programme! ;-p

Some thoughts from our founder..
This year marks a special year for me and my partners, since it is the first year that we have embarked on this wonderful musical adventure together!
InTune Music School LLP is finally born this year, and we have managed to gather a group of wonderful student performers, as well as a loyal fan base, who are so very supportive of our activities and our performances. It marks a new stage in our lives as business owners, and also brings our musical experience to a totally different level.
As musicians as well as music instructors, we each have our own experience in various arenas like singing, songwriting, music arrangement, album production and so on. Some of us are experienced singing and songwriting instructors, others are professional music arrangers and sound engineers. Hopefully we will be able to combine our energies and create a wonderful synergy of musical talent!
