Performance at MuChuan Cafe on 22 Dec 2007!

Sunday, December 23, 2007

Tonight, InTune Music School hosted its very first public performance at MuChuan Cafe (SAFRA Town Club, Carpenter St). It was a sellout full house event, and the cafe was so packed that there was barely space to move!

The entire performance was 3 hours long, and there were around 30 songs for the entire night! I was really impressed with all our students, especially with our close knit group of performers (Zuo En, Xueting, Klenn, Makoto, Simin, Maveric, Shuzhen etc etc), who were able to string together all their songs and perform throughout the night non-stop! They also managed a number of duets, as well as harmony parts for the christmas carolling!

I was only onstage to sing for the last segment of the night, but it was really wonderful to see our group of students with their various talents; some being great singers, others being able to harmonise well, still others taking up roles as emcees or even stage managers and sound man! This is something that really impressed me.. how our entire school of students rallied together to organise this performance and do such an impressive job!

Me and Qisheng laoshi are really proud, and we will certainly work very very hard to make the next performance an even bigger and more prestigious event! Our students will be proud to be from InTune Music School, and our teachers will be proud of what our students achieve!

Future Growth of InTune Music School

Tuesday, December 4, 2007

Today we had a long meeting regarding the future growth of our little music school. Over the past few months, response has been great from many of our friends and supporters, and also from various members of the public who have come in through word of mouth.

We appreciate everyone's help in building up our little music school, which has already achieved a certain stronghold of students, as well as developed a strong core group of performers. This would not have been possible without the help of our friends, families, as well as students alike.

Today was an important day because it marked a new phase in our music school's growth. It marked the beginning of our marketing plan, as well as the actual planned expansion of our little music school. Hopefully our little music school will no longer be little, but will be ready for the big boys by the end of next year!

So, everyone, just watch out for future developments, and remember this little catchphrase from us: "Are You In Tune?" ;-p
